Ukrainian Interior Ministry consultant Anton Gerashchenko declared the demise of Major General Oleg Mityaev on Telegram, sharing a photograph of him.

Mityaev, 46, was in charge of the 150th mechanized rifle division, which he had driven starting around 2020.
Mityaev had recently battled in Syria and in 2016 had been named as administrator of a Russian army installation in Tajikistan.
Mityaev is apparently the fourth Russian general killed by Ukrainian powers in 20 days. It is assessed that 20 officers are sent in Ukraine to order Russian soldiers through the attack.
